As many as 715 households and eight schools in the VDC had been using the water brought from a source at Sepani of Gokhunga VDC for the last 30 years, said Secretary of the Drinking Water Users' Committee Narayan Khanal. The locals are surprised after the source of the drinking water suddenly dried up, he added.
The locals are using water drawn from the same source distributed through 82 taps but now they have to fetch water from the nearby rivers and other sources walking long distance.
The water source at Sepani has dried up and the villagers have problems for drinking water, said Tara KC, an official sent from the District Drinking Water and Sanitation Office, Arghakhanchi. RSS
