DIGs Yadav Adhikari, Parshuram Khatri, Bishworaj Sahi and Sushil Barsing Thapa on Friday filed a joint petition as contempt of court against Prime Minister, Home Minister, Home Secretary and Inspector General of Police at the apex court.
They have demanded action saying that they were deprived of justice as the government did not implement the court order to promote them from DIGs to the Additional Inspector Generals of police.
On September 24, a division bench of Deepak Raj Joshi and Om Prakash Mishra had issued a mandamus order asking the government to create additional posts and promote DIGs Adhikari, Khatri, Sahi and Thapa to the post of AIGs.
