Hotel Yak and Yeti held a Chimney Lighting Ceremony at the Chimney restaurant on Wednesday.
The age-old tradition of lighting the copper chimney, which heralds the arrival of winter in Kathmandu, was continued with great enthusiasm, the hotel said in a press statement.
Esteemed guests, dignitaries, and patrons came together to celebrate the event, which was a testament to the rich heritage of the restaurant.
The igniting of the chimney was done by Monika Scheiblauer, general manager of Yak and Yeti. The evening was an exquisite blend of tradition, culinary artistry, and the warmth of community, the hotel said.
