The Vivanta Kathmandu has thrown open the doors of its new downtown hotel in Jhamsikhel, Lalitpur on Thursday.
Under CG Hospitality, a hospitality arm of Chaudhary Group and NE Group, the Indian Hotels Company Limited—which owns the Taj Brand—will manage the Vivanta Kathmandu, the hotel said in a press statement.
This will be the second hotel of CG Hospitality in Nepal after Meghauli Serai, a Taj Safaris Lodge at the bank of Chitwan National Park.
“We are very delighted to bring Vivanta in Kathmandu after nearly two decades. This hotel will set new standards in terms of quality and services through the famous Taj hospitality. We continue to strive for promoting quality tourism in Nepal as we have done with Meghauli Serai,” said Rahul Chaudhary, managing director of CG Hospitality.
Vivanta Kathmandu houses 110 rooms and is located in Jhamsikhel.
The hotel said that guests have a choice of distinctive culinary options with Akari, serving pan Asian cuisine, a rooftop bar, Koko serving bistro-style food, to the whiff of local Newari dishes at Mynt - the all-day diner. Other facilities include a fitness centre, swimming pool and a spa.
“Vivanta Kathmandu is the perfect destination for world travel lovers and to explore the beauty of Nepal. We look forward to providing the best available service around the globe in our new product Vivanta,” said Rabindra Bhakta Shrestha, managing director of NE Group.
