A leopard was found dead with bullet injuries at a community forest in Dipayal Silgadhi Municipality-8, Doti, on Saturday. Ram Bichari Thakur, an official from the Division Forest Office in Doti, said the leopard of about three years was shot dead at Bramandi Community Forest near the Timurdaha village. It is suspected that smugglers shot the animal to smuggle its body parts. Investigation is underway to arrest the smugglers involved in the incident, said Suresh Rokaya, ranger at the division office. (PR)
