Syangja
Police in Syangja have arrested a man accused of repeatedly raping and torturing his 12-year-old daughter for the past two years.
District police chief SP Rajkumar Lamsal told the Post on Monday that the accused was taken into custody a few days ago following a complaint registered by the young girl.
“The girl had been repeatedly raped and tortured by her father for the past two years. When she tried to fight back on December 31, her father had threatened to pour boiling water over her body,” SP Lamsal said.
“The accused had been using emotional and physical threats to keep the victim silent.”
Police have charged the man with incestious rape. The District Court has remanded him to custody for further investigation.
