Minister of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Rabindra Adhikari on Sunday stressed on the need to establish an academy to promote the Gandharva culture and art.
While inaugurating the newly constructed Gandharva museum in Pokhara, Kaski, Adhikari said the Gandharva art and culture has played a significant role in promoting Pokhara as a rich cultural heritage. The museum houses books, musical instruments and other materials featuring art and culture of the Gandharva community.
On the occasion, Gandaki Province Assembly member Krishna Thapa said Pokhara is not only rich in natural beauty but in arts and culture as well, and he emphasised on promoting art and culture to make tourism year a success.
