The missing Nepal Communist Party leader, Deepak Bhandari, is believed to be in India as Jhapa police has recovered a CCTV footage in which he is seen crossing the Kakadbhitta border in a rickshaw. Shrestha, who hails from Mechinagar Municipality of Jhapa, is missing since Thursday morning. In the footage obtained by police, Bhandari is accompanied by an unknown man. Police have also recovered another video of Bhandari arriving in Panitanki, the Indian town off the Nepal-India border. Police said they were trying to locate Bhandari’s whereabouts and ascertain the identity of the person seen with him in the footage.
