A fire broke out at Bagabira village of Bode Barsayen Municipality-7 in Saptari district on Saturday night, reducing six houses to ashes and destroying properties worth around Rs 1 million. Dev Kumari Das sustained burn injuries while eight livestock were killed in the incident, police said. Das is receiving treatment at a hospital in Lahan. The fire broke out from an animal shed belonging to Geni Das at around midnight. The fire was doused with the help of police and locals. (PR)
