Kanchanpur
Women rights activists organised a sit-in protest in front of the District Administration Office in Kanchanpur with their mouth taped in demand of justice for 13-year-old Nirmala Pant on Friday afternoon.
Pant was found raped and strangled to death in a sugar cane field near her house on July 27.
The indefinite sit-in of Nirmala’s family and relatives is still on.
A meeting of Citizen’s Struggle Committee on Thursday had announced a new protest programme.
They have planned to paste posters related to Nirmala on public vehicles on Saturday.
