The Sanghiya Samajbadi Forum-Nepal (SSF-N) has proposed holding its general convention in the second week of May, 2019.

A Political Committee meeting of the party held at Tinkune-based party headquarters in Kathmandu on Thursday has proposed May 11 and 12, 2019 as the dates to hold the party’s general convention.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Health and Population, and SSF-N Chairman Upendra Yadav had suggested holding the general convention next May.

The party’s political committee has summoned the central committee meeting on December 8 to discuss and decide other political issues as well as the general convention.

The meeting will be held in Balkumari, Lalitpur.

The meeting is likely to dwell on the party’s performance in the government, constitution amendment, and formation of province committees and renewal of membership, among other issues. Chairman Yadav apprised the meeting about the work and decisions the party has made in the government up to now.
