Lama elected president of NGO Federation

The ninth general convention of the federation picked Lama and his 37-member executive committee through the voting. He was treasurer in the last executive committee.
The convention has elected Durba Prasad Dev as senior vice-chairman, Sumitra Subedi as vice-chair while Ram Prasad Subedi has been elected as general secretary.
Similarly, Dimesh Chaudhary and Arjun Bhattarai managed to secure position of deputy general secretary.
Bhawana Bhatta, Devi Prasad Timilsina, Bidhyanath Chaudhary, Shova Ram Dangi, Umesh Bishwokarma, Dharma Raj Pathak and Dallu Ghimire managed to get elected as secretaries while Bishnu Thakali is now the treasurer.
The federation has 6,183 member NGOs and 77 district chapters.
Established in 1991 the federation is a coordinating body of the NGO movement in Nepal.
