The death toll in Thursday’s bus accident in Dadeldhura has reached 18.
The bus, carrying pilgrims to Ugratara Temple in Doti, had fallen into a ravine near Raduwa stream at Ammargadhi Municipality. Chief District Officer Mohan Joshi said 10 people died on the spot while eight others succumbed to injuries at the Dadeldhura Sub-regional Hospital. Eleven critically injured people have been referred to the Kohalpur Medical College, said CDO Joshi.
The bus belonging to a school was used by locals to go to the religious fair. School Principal Bhim Bahadur Balayar said there were 46 passengers on the bus when it met with the accident. (PR)
