Two persons died in a road crash involving a bus, a lorry and a tipper in Naya Thimi, Bhaktapur, on Saturday night. Police said the crash occurred when the Kavre-bound bus (Ba 5 Kha 3565) rear-ended the lorry (Ba 2 Kha 1654) that was behind the stationary tipper (Ba 2 Ka 3935).
The lorry driver Rajendra Shrestha, 34, and his assistant Sarjan Shrestha, 28, of Banepa, Kavre, died at a hospital in Kathmandu, police said. Deputy Superintendent of Police Milan KC said bus driver Suresh Sapkota of Panauti, Kavre, was taken into custody after the crash. (PR)
