A jackal attack at Likhu Rural Municipality in Nuwakot on Saturday has left over 15 people injured, according to the Area Police Office. The animal, which came from a nearby forest, entered the human settlements and randomly attacked people at Dhikure Bazaar and Chaugadha Bazaar. The injured are undergoing treatment at Nuwakot District Hospital in Trishuli, said Purna Bahadur Lama, assistant sub inspector of police. The animal may be infected with rabies so the locals have been urged to stay on alert. (RSS)
