Former Finance Minister Dr Badri Prasad Shrestha passed away while undergoing treatment at the Pulchowk-based Nidan Hospital on Sunday. He was 87.
Suffering from urine related problems, Shrestha died during treatment, Shrestha's nephew Dinesh Shrestha confirmed.
Shrestha had served as the member, Vice-Chairman of National Planning Commission, Member of Rastriya Panchayat and Nepal's Ambassador to Japan. Shrestha leaves behind his spouse, one son and two daughters.
The final rites of Shrestha will be performed at Pashupati Aryaghat on Wednesday, according to family sources. RSS
