General Secretary of Communist Party of India (Marxist) Sitaram Yechuri arrived Kathmandu on Thursday at the invitation of the Communist Party of Nepal.
Yechuri is accompanied by central committee member of the CPI Jogendra Sharma. Yechuri is scheduled to meet with President Bidya Devi Bhandari, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, CPN Chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal, senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal and General Secretary Bishnu Prasad Poudel. He will address a seminar organised by the Pushpalal Memorial Foundation.
Yechuri has played key role during and after the second Janaandolan in 2062-63 BS in brining the then Seven Party Alliance and CPN (Maoist) together to fight against the monarchy. (PR)
