Police have arrested an 18-year-old man from Kamalbazar Municipality-5 in Achham district for raping a minor girl and attempting to rape another.

The suspect allegedly raped a seven-year-old girl in Bherichhada Nawashain forest on Saturday and attempted to rape a 14-year-old girl on Friday.

Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Janak Bahadur Shahi said the man admitted to both crimes during questioning.

 In another incident, police in Palpa have arrested a 20-year-old man for raping a 19-year-old girl at Tinau Rural Municipality-2 on Thursday.

 DSP Bishwo Mani Pokharel said the accused was brought to Tansen, the district headquarters, for investigation. (PR)
