Three persons died when a bus struck a motorcycle and fell into the Sunkoshi River at Ritthebhir in Sunkoshi Rural Muni-cipality-5, Sindhuli, on Friday.
The Kathman-du-bound bus (Na 6 Kha 912) plunged nearly 100 metres down the BP Highway following a collision with a motorcycle, according to the survivors.
Police said Ravi Bhandari, 29, of Sunkoshi Rural Municipality-8, Sindhuli, died on the spot while a second passenger Amit Lama, 23, of Marin Rural Municipality-7, Sindhuli, and the bus driver, Raj Kumar Lama, 28, died while undergoing treatment.
Two other passengers are said to be in critical conditions. (PR)
