“The party has decided not to observe the Constitution Day as the black day as the government has already agreed to amend the constitution. The party has also reached an agreement with the parties representing the government to protect the rights and provide additional rights through amendment,” said the party’s statement signed by Deputy General Secretary and chief of Central Office Prakash Adhikari. The party, however, said it has reservations over some of the provisions in the constitution. Earlier on Friday, the Rastriya Janata Party-Nepal, a key constituent of the Province 2 government, decided to stage a protest on the Constitution Day.
