PM Oli to leave for New York on Saturday

He will be accompanied by Foreign Minister Pradeep Gyawali, advisers, senior officials, security officers, doctor and media representatives to the UNGA. PM Oli will address the UNGA on September 27 and will participate in various high-level segments in New York on the margins of the assembly, according to Foreign Ministry officials.
Highlighting the success story of Nepal’s peace process, Oli will present the achievements made by Nepal and the priorities of his government to the global community. He will appeal to them to partner with Nepal in its development endeavours.
It’s not sure if the PM will visit Washington DC, said officials. On the margins of the UNGA, a separate meeting of the Saarc Council of foreign Ministers will take place where Nepal will push for speeding up the stalled Saarc process.
