Local youths staged a semi-naked rally in Bhadrapur Municipality of Jhapa on Thursday in protest of the Teej programme celebrated by the people’s representatives the same day.

The youths claim that the Bhadrapur Municipality organised the Teej Special Programme by misusing taxes.

The semi-naked rally organised by local Chetanshil Youth Group marched around the bazaar area and chanted slogans against municipal office and District Police Office for an hour.

Police obstructed the protesters from reaching the municipal office area. (PR)
