Nepali Congress on Saturday postponed its Mahasamiti (apex committee) meeting for two months.
NC’s Central Working Committee decided to hold the Mahasamiti, the party’s highest policy-making body, from November 21 to 25.
The CWC meeting on April 29 had decided to convene the Mahasamiti meeting by mid-September.
On Saturday, NC President Sher Bahadur Deuba proposed postponement of the meeting stating that the Purna Bahadur Khadka-led statute amendment committee would not complete its work within two weeks.
