Two children have gone missing after falling into an irrigation canal at Jhumka in Ramdhuni Municipality of Sunsari district on Tuesday.
According to the police, two children of one local Dinesh Khadka—9-year-old Ashwin Khadka and 11-year-old Srijana Khadka—were swept away after falling into the canal of Sunsari-Morang Irrigation Project.

The police have informed that the rescue operation has become complicated due to the strong flow of water channeled from the Koshi River.
Likewise, Sunsari administration has informed that Nepal Army, Nepal Police personnel, locals among others are working to rescue the missing children.
