A team of health workers has met with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Health and Population (MoHP) Upendra Yadav and urged them not to cut down the vaccination staff quota.
MoHP Vaccination Supervision Officer Om Upadhyay said the ministry has reduced quotas for vaccination health staff in the wake of implementation of federalism in the country.
The ministry has removed four quotas - Vaccination Supervisor, Vaccination Supervisor Officer, Cold Chain Officer and Mechanical Engineer.
The Ministry had increased the quota for vaccination staff to four after revising it in 1991.
The Ministry handles the storage of the vaccination and management in compliance of the World Health Organization and UNICEF standards. (RSS)
