Learner driver mum and son, 8, missing as taxi falls into river
Two people are missing after a taxi with a ‘learner’ sign plunged into Myagdi River on Friday. The taxi bearing the registration number Dha 1 Ja 251 fell into the river from a playground behind the District Police Office in Beni, the district headquarters. Police identified the two missing as Shova Adhikari Khati, 30, and her eight-year-old son Sagar, residents of Bagarphant, Jaljala rural municipality.bookmark

Two people are missing after a taxi with a ‘learner’ sign plunged into Myagdi River on Friday.
The taxi bearing the registration number Dha 1 Ja 251 fell into the river from a playground behind the District Police Office in Beni, the district headquarters.
Police identified the two missing as Shova Adhikari Khati, 30, and her eight-year-old son Sagar, residents of Bagarphant, Jaljala rural municipality.
Adhikari was with her son learning to drive when the car fell into the river from the edge of the playground.
The two occupants and the vehicle are missing. Police and residents are looking for the missing vehicle and persons.
The taxi belongs to the Beni Driving Institute. Police have arrested the institute manager.
