Three people including a minor died after a landslide buried a house in Ghairug in Sahid Lakhan Rural Municipality-6 in Gorkha district on Wednesday.
Eight months old baby, Unique Kunwar, Saru Kunwar, 20, and Prabin Kunwar, 10, died after a landslide struck their house early this morning, local trader Kriahna Kunwar said. Unique is Saru’s son.
“The house was buried by landslide from behind at around 6 am today. The three were found dead when the locals broke open the house,” said Krishna. Rescue teams of Nepal Police and Nepal Army has not been able to reach the place as landslides have destroyed the roads. “Security personnel are heading to the incident site through alternative roads,” said Chief District Officer Narayan Bhattarai said.
