277 mountaineers reach atop Mount Everest

A total of 277 mountaineers have successfully climbed the world's highest peak, Mount Everest, in seven days since the expedition began this season.
As many as 277 mountaineers have ascended to the highest summit since the outset of the mountaineering of the spring season this year, shared Tilakram Pandey, Liaison Officer at Department of Tourism stationed at the base camp.
According to him, 36 climbers including 21 Nepali and 15 foreigners have successfully reached the Everest summit on Saturday. Some 65 mountaineers had climbed the highest peak on Friday.
During the season, some 364 mountaineers are on the way to scale the summit. Most of those reaching atop are climbing down while some are still under preparation for the ascent. RSS
