Dahal says party focus on boosting tourism
CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal on Wednesday said his party’s priority is developing tourism as part of larger economic development of Nepal.Dahal said this during his meeting with the delegation, led by the Communist Party of China’s Vice President for Beijing, Lizi Yang at his residence in Khumaltar.CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal on Wednesday said his party’s priority is developing tourism as part of larger economic development of Nepal.
Dahal said this during his meeting with the delegation, led by the Communist Party of China’s Vice President for Beijing, Lizi Yang at his residence in Khumaltar.
“Our main focus is on developing tourism sector while prioritising expansion of infrastructure network,” said Dahal, “We can develop tourism sector only when we expand our highways and railway networks.”
Recalling his first visit to China as Nepal’s Prime Minister, Dahal said his meeting with the then Chinese President Hu Jintao at the time focused on expansion of national connectivity.“I had held discussions on the same topic with incumbent Chinese President Xi Jinping during my second visit to China visit,” Dahal.The Chinese delegation praised Dahal’s leadership and said, Nepal is an attractive destination for the Chinese people and the investors are interested in promoting Nepal’s tourism sector.
