Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa on Wednesday directed security agencies to root out drug smuggling. “Create an action plan, and bring awareness campaigns which can uproot drug smuggling.
It is the need of the hour to eliminate it. Criminals must be booked,” Thapa said at a discussion held at the ministry. Home Secretary Prem Kumar Rai, Home Minister’s advisor Surya Prakash Subedi, Inspector General of Police Sarbendra Khanal, Inspector General of Armed Police Force Shailendra Khanal, Chief of National Investigation Department Dilip Regmi and Deputy Inspector General of Police Thule Rai, Chief of Narcotic Control Bureau of Nepal Police were among those present at the discussion.
