Two Nepal women have been rescued from a brothel in Delhi, India. They were rescued at the initiative of Maiti Nepal and the support of Indian police and human rights organisations.
Keshav Koirala, the regional coordinator of Maiti Nepal in Nepalgunj, on Sunday said that the two women from Parsa and Nuwakot districts are living in a shelter home. One of the women has a one-year-old daughter.
Koirala said the brothel at GB Road reportedly had 10 Nepali women but when police raided the place, there were only two of them. A few weeks ago, Maiti Nepal had rescued five Nepali women from an Agra-based brothel. (PR)
