Karna to draft RJP-N statute

The panel led by lawmaker Laxman Lal Karna will submit the draft at the meeting of the party’s political committee on April 21, which will pave the way for the selection of officials in the RJP-N parliamentary party.
The meeting of the parliamentary party held at its office in Singha Durbar-based also decided to levy Rs10,000 a month for all the members of the House of Representatives and National Assembly.
The party has 17 members including Resham Chaudhary in the HoR and two—Brikhesh Chandra Lal and Ramesh Yadav—in the National Assembly.“We will elect the officials of the parliemantary party once the statute is ready,” said Rajkishor Yadav, a leader of the party’s presidium. He said once the party finalises the statute all the officials of the parliamentary party would be elected accordingly.
“Since the House has been prorogued we have some time to elect officials,” he added.
The meeting of the party’s presidium held on Wednesday had decided to celebrate party establishment day on April 20 and called a meeting of political committee on April 21.
Due to the debate among the leaders, the Madhes-based RJP-N formed after the
unification of six fringe parties has failed to elect its parliamentary party leader and deputy leader as well as chief whip and whip, among others.
