A Nepal Army team defused an improvised explosive device (IED) planted in a grader owned by Ganapati Construction Sewa at a postal highway construction site in Madhuwan Municipality, Bardiya, on Thursday.

 

Police said the Netra Bikram Chand-led Communist Party of Nepal owned up to the incident. The party has accused the contractor of breaching construction standards.
