A female tiger was found dead near the Rapti river at the Chitwan National Park (CNP) in Sauraha on Saturday.

Assistant conservation officer Abhinaya Pathak at the CNP sector office said the tiger was about two and a half years old.

Pathak suspects that the animal might have been attacked and killed by another tiger.
