Three girls below 16 years of age were raped at Villa Hotel in Bhirkot Municipality-6, Syangja, on March 13. Police said two girls of 14 years and another 15-year-old girl were raped in the hotel. 

The Ward Police Office Waling said that 23-year-old Roshan Gurung of Bhirkot-1, Syangja; 18-year-old Manish Malla of Chandragiri-2, Kathmandu; and 17-year-old Arjun Khatri of Nijgadh-4; Bara, have been arrested in connection to the incident. 

The girls had fled the hotel at night and reported the incident to police. 

Uncle rapes 11-year-old niece

Police are searching for a man who is on the run after raping his 11-year-old niece in Aandhikhola Rural Municipality, Syangja, on February 16. According to Badri Prasad Wagle of Central Child Welfare Committee, the incident came to light after the girl was brought to Kaski for treatment. 

Doctors say the girl might have been raped multiple times in the past as well. The accused man fled the village after Kaski police informed police in Syangja about the incident. The girl is staying at a children’s shelter in Kaski.
