The Department of Mines and Geology (DMG) will conduct a geological study to explore minerals in 13 districts spread over the country.
The department has allocated a budget of Rs39 million to carry out works relating to geological mapping and mineral exploration.
DMG officials will conduct the survey under various packages. The project covers the following districts; Accham, Bajhang, Kalikot, Bajura Rukum, Rolpa, Pyuthan, Salyan, Baitadi, Dailekh, Darchula, Nuwakot, Dhading and Gorkha.
According to DMG Information Officer Krishnadev Jha, the department has completed the process of selection of expressions of interest (EoI) for geological mapping.
Post adds: The department has published a list of consultancies qualified for the project proposal. The engineering consultancies cover over seven packages.
Package A comprises parts of Achham, Bajhang, Kalikot and Bajura districts.
Package B comprises parts of Rukum, Rolpa, Pyuthan and Baglung districts.
Package C comprises parts of Salyan and Rolpa districts.
Package D comprises parts of Accham, Dailekh and Kalikot districts.
Package E comprises parts of Rolpa districts.
Package F comprises parts of Bajahang, Baitadi and Darchula districts.
Package G comprises parts of Nuwakot, Dhading and Gorkha districts.
