Bhaktapur
Minister for Population and Environment Lalbabu Pandit has warned of punishing all polluters.
Inaugurating the Hanumante River clean-up campaign between Kaushaltar and Suryabinayak in Bhaktapur on Saturday, Minister Pandit said no polluter would be spared.
Vehicles without green sticker would be banned from metropolitan and sub-metropolitan cities from the Nepali New Year (8 April). Factories producing non-biodegradable bags would be banned and organic bags promoted, Pandit shared his resolve. Brick factories violating environmental laws would be transformed into environment-friendly kilns.
