Nawalparasi
Shashwat Dham, a pilgrimage site constructed by the Chaudhary Foundation in Dumkauli, Nawalparasi, is adding a Buddhist Centre on its premises.
The foundation stone for the proposed centre was laid on Tuesday.
Representatives of the Shashwat Dham Management Committee said the cremains of Lord Buddha were brought from Rajamaya Vihar in Anuradhapura, Sri Lanka, to consecrate the site by a team led by the monk of Rajamaya Vihar Janaka Idirisinghe on Saturday.
The ashes were placed on the construction site of the centre for the visitors to pay their homage.
