They have pledged to regain the party’s strength within next five years.
They further added that they would work to make Mahasamiti meeting, party General Convention meaningful.“We will play a role of strong and constructive opposition party,” the statement issued by leaders reads. Youth leaders also stated that intra-party democracy will be strengthened ending the factional politics which has paralyzed party’s structures. Soon after the party faced a humiliating defeat in the elections of House of Representatives and Provincial Assembly (NA), a team of NC youth leaders started brainstorming for what they call to rebuild the party.
The youth leaders discussed with party leaders, sympathizers and intellectuals to suggest the ways to bring change in the party functions. Party President Sher Bahadur Deuba, however, is not satisfied with the move saying that such discussions must take place in the official platform-Central Working Committee- which is going to take place soon to review party’s performance in the elections.
