Two people died on the spot when a water tanker knocked their motorcycle at Saraswati Khola on the Hetauda-Narayangadh section of the highway last night. 

The victims are 26-year-old Prem Bahadur Chhetri of Sunaul Municipality-8, Nawalparasi and 20-year-old Maya Chhetri of Bharatpur Metropolitan City, The District Police Office Makawanpur said. Prem Bahadur was riding the motorcycle and Maya was pillion riding. They were going towards Hetauda from Madi of Chitwan when the tanker (Na 3 Ta 6027) hit the motorcycle. 

Meanwhile, 29-year-old Som Bahadur Lama, a resident of Hetauda-14, was killed when the tractor he was travelling in overturned last night. Lama was the helper of the tractor driver, police said.
