At a press briefing in Beijing on Tuesday, Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesman Geng Shuang said, “We respect the Nepali people’s choice and hope that various parties of Nepal will continue to work together with solidarity and get along with their work on forming a new government to ensure stability and economic development.”
With the Election Commission submitting the list of elected members to President Bidya Devi Bhandari, the country is in the cusp of getting a new government, the first since the promulgation of new constitution in September 2015.
The left alliance of CPN-UML and CPN (Maoist-Centre), which has secured a majority in both the Houses of Parliament alliance, is preparing to form the new government.
