Two women have died in an elephant attack in Saptari on Tuesday.
Durga Devi Mukhiya, 45, and Manju Devi Sah, 35, of Pathari, Kanchanrup Municipality-5 died after being attacked by an elephant that entered human settlement from Koshi Tapu Wildlife Reserve, police informed.
The duo was attacked near their house. Both of them died on the spot, police said.
Scores of people have been killed from the attack of wild tusker that comes from the Koshi Tapu Wildlife Reserve, locals said.
