Radio Kantipur is preparing to start provincial broadcast, each service catering to the interest and topics relevant to a particular province, Kantipur Media Group Chairman and Managing Director Kailash Sirohiya announced on Friday.

CMD Sirohiya also announced the launch of a new mobile application of Radio Kantipur. The app will help take Radio Kantipur to its listeners wherever they are around the globe. 

“Along with state restructuring and implementation of federalism, we have already planned our programmes in line with the provincial structure. The country is gearing towards economic prosperity following completion of the three phases of election after promulgation of the constitution. We will continue to caution political parties and leaders in order to keep the people’s enthusiasm that conclusion of political transition have brought,” he said during a ceremony held to mark the 19th edition of the National Music Awards.
