A person lost his life in a rhino attack in Madi of Chitwan Sunday night.
The deceased has been identified as Prem Raj Dhungel, 35, of Madi Municipality-2, according to Chitwan National Park assistant conservation officer Nurendra Aryal.
“Preliminary investigation shows that the wild beast got violent in a field near Imiliya,” he said, “The detailed report is yet to come.”
Locals say Dhungel got confronted with rhino while he had gone to a nearby jungle for grazing cattle in the evening.
Police said that Dhungel’s left leg was broken and he sustained injuries in his back.
His body has been brought to Bharatpur hospital for postmortem.
