Police arrest absconding Indian in connection to 33kg gold smuggling case

Central Investigation Bureau of Nepal Police has made public an accused of the 33 kg gold smuggling case on Tuesday. The accused on the run was arrested from Kathmandu on January 10, last year.
The Indian man Rahul Goyal was absconding after the police arrested him in connection to the Tribhuvan International Airport gold smuggling case in December 2016.
District Attorney Office Kathmandu had presented Goyal along with charge sheet to District Court on March 5, 2017. Goyal was on the run since then.
Goyal, who lives in Gauridhara, Kathmandu, is the operator of Shalimar Jewelers based in Bishal Bazaar.
