Aurahi village of Dakaneshwari Municipality-3 in Saptari is struggling to get electricity even though electricity poles have been set up five years ago.
As a result, the locals have been affected in various ways. They are finding it hard to use electric appliances to cook rice, boil water, and charge mobile phone and run rice sheller.
"Electric poles have been set up around five years ago. But our village is yet to be illuminated," said a local resident Mukesh Kumar Yadav.
The village has 300 households predominantly of Dalit community. RSS
