Three persons involved in a fatal attack against Satkhaluwa Lake Conservation Committee Chairman Sunil Chapagain and Satkhaluwa Home-stay Chairman Surya Prasad Acharya have been arrested by police on Thursday.

According to Basgadhi Police Office Inspector Chakra Dambar Pal, those arrested are Chanku Tharu, Birkumar Chaudhary and Baburam Chaudhary of Bardiya district.

Another accused Ram Pyari Chaudhary is at large, police said.

The accused have been charged for attacking Chapagain and Acharya in a dispute related to vandalising a structure constructed for dumping garbage located on the way to tourist destination Satkhaluwa Lake. Acharya, who sustained serious injuries on head, is receiving treatment in Luckow of India, police said.
