Former ward chairperson of then Daduwa Village Development Committee-2 in Ramechhap district, Baburam Tamang, was murdered in cold blood last night. Tamang was elected as ward chairman from CPN-UML in the local election held in 2054 BS.

Police inspector Rajendra Thapa said that Tamang’s dead body was found crushed under stones at Lapsikhola in Daduwa-1.

Although police have no clue about the murderer, they have rounded up 11 locals in connection with the crime. They are being detained at District Police Office.

The dead body has been sent to district headquarters Manthali for autopsy.
