A person died in a motorbike accident at Kaule in Shivapuri Rural Municipality-3, Sindhupalchok in the wee hours of Monday morning.

According to police, Manoj Shrestha, 19, of Patibhanjyang in Melamchi Municipality-4, Sindhupalchok, died when his bike met with an accident at around 2 while returning after attending a victory rally of left alliance candidates for federal parliament and provincial assembly.

DSP Madhukar Jang Bista said Shrestha died on the spot after the motorbike rode by him skidded off the road and fell some 200 meters down.

A police team has headed for the accident site to ferry the body to the district hospital for treatment.
