A pedestrian died after being hit by a scooter in Urlabari-7 of Morang district along the Urlabari-Itahari road section on Friday evening.

The deceased has been identified as Dhurba Silwal, 54.

Critically injured in the incident, Silwal breathed his last during the course of treatment at the Neuro Hospital in Biratnagar, said Inspector Chandara Bahadur Thapa.

Police said that they have impounded the scooter and arrested its rider for investigation. RSS
